TOGETHER, A HIGH-POWER ATTENUATOR and surface-mount transmission-line power termination are promising to deliver high power dissipation and performance at RF and microwave bands. Designated the PAT3060P Series attenuator and RFTF Series terminator, both devices feature low VSWRs at high frequencies. The attenuator has a frequency range from DC to 10 GHz with a VSWR of less than 1.30:1 at 10 GHz. Attenuation values include 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 16, and 20 dB. It is rated to 10 W when heatsinked (1.5 W without a heatsink). Impedance is 50 O with an operating temperature of -55 to +125C. For its part, the RFTF Series terminator is available with power ratings to 250 W. Stray capacitance is less than 1.0 pF at 250 W and the operating frequency range is DC to 3 GHz. At 3 GHz, VSWR is less than 1.10:1. DC resistance is 50 O with tolerances to +/-1, +/-2, and +/-5 percent. The operating temperature ranges from -55 to +155C. The PAT3060P Series attenuator and RFTF Series terminator are well suited for applications like power amplifiers, wireless communications, and test instruments.
