Linear Technology, now part of Analog Devices, is now offering the LTC6432-15, a wideband fully differential amplifier with 15 dB gain, offering linearity of up to +50.3 dBm OIP3, OP1dB at +22.7 dBm, and a 3.2 dB noise figure at 150 MHz. In addition, it maintains its dynamic range performance even at lower frequencies, its noise figure rises to 6.6 dB at 100 kHz, and it boasts superior stability over temperature, power supply ranges, and from device to device compared to GaAs and pHEMT amplifiers.
High dynamic range and extended bandwidth to low frequencies suit the amplifier for applications such as high sample rate A/D converter drivers, cable network amplifiers, broadband signal source conditioning, radar receiver IF amplifiers, radios and RF test instruments.
Operating from a single 5 V supply and drawing a nominal 166 mA supply current, the device is specified for -40°C to 85°C case temperature operation. Offered in 4 x 4 mm plastic QFN, the LTC6432-15 is available in both a B-grade at $3.69 each/1,000, and a higher performance A-grade for $6.44 each.
