Cavity Filter Passes Wi-Fi
Model AB5590B544 is a cavity filter developed for Wi-Fi applications. The filter has a center frequency of 5,590 MHz and bandwidth of 10 MHz with low passband insertion loss of 1.75 dB. The passband amplitude ripple is less than 0.2 dB, while passband return loss is better than 14 dB. The rejection is better than 40 dB at 20 MHz or more from the passband. The filter measures 5.40 × 3.86 × 1.26 in. (137 × 98 × 32 mm) with Type N female connectors. It can handle input power levels to 40 W at operating temperatures from −30 to +60°C.

YIG-Tuned Filters Feature Field-Replaceable Connectors

A line of YIG-tuned RF/microwave bandpass filters is now available with field-replaceable RF connections for applications through 26.5 GHz. Models MLFRC- 42026 and MLFRC-46026 are among the first filters to incorporate the field-replaceable RF connectors, although the connectors can be included on other sizes of filters, including those in 1.0-, 1.4-, 1.7-, and 2.0-in.-square packages operating to 26.5 GHz. Model MLFRC-42026 tunes from 2.0 to 26.5 GHz while model MLFRC-46026 spans 6.0 to 26.5 GHz, with 25- and 50-MHz tuning bandwidths, respectively. Both are four-stage filters, both exhibit worst-case insertion loss of 6 dB, and both have typical selectivity of 24 dB/octave. Tuning linearity for both is ±20 MHz. The maximum passband VSWR for both is 2.0:1. Versions are available for commercial and military temperature ranges.

Variable Attenuators Pad 0.4 to 18.0 GHz
A line of coaxial voltage-variable attenuators (VVAs) offers as much as 60-dB attenuation from 400 MHz to 18 GHz. Ideal for communications systems, test equipment and electronic-warfare (EW) systems, the attenuation levels of these PIN-diode-based VVAs are set by varying an analog voltage on the input control line. The product line includes six models rated for CW input power to +23 dBm. The unit with the broadest bandwidth is model PE70A2900, which operates from 500 MHz to 18 GHz with 0 to 60 dB attenuation. It exhibits 3.5-dB insertion loss and is supplied with field-replaceable female SMA connectors. All models meet MIL-STD-202 environmental requirements.

Miniature VCO Operates from 6,150 to 7,120 MHz
Surface-mount voltage-controlled-oscillator (VCO) model DCO615712-5 tunes from 6,150 to 7,120 MHz with outstanding noise characteristics. It provides at least −4 dBm output power from a package measuring just 0.3 × 0.3 × 0.1 in. and achieves phase noise of −85 dBc/Hz offset 10 kHz from the carrier and −106 dBc/Hz offset 100 kHz from the carrier. Second harmonics are typically −25 dBc. Frequency pulling is typically 12 MHz into a 1.75:1 VSWR while frequency pushing is typically 12 MHz/V. Surface-Mount Filters Pass Signals to 18 GHz
Miniature surface-mount-technology (SMT) highpass filters offer 3-dB cutoff frequencies from 6 to 18 GHz. The filters maintain low passband loss of 1 dB through 18 GHz with stopband rejection of at least 30 dB. The typical VSWR is 1.43:1 through 16 GHz and 1.70:1 through 18 GHz. The miniature filters are ideal for miniature designs requiring filters mounted on printed-circuit boards (PCBs).

Tunable Filters Screen to 8 GHz
A line of tunable filters includes models operating to 8 GHz. These filters feature five-section coaxial cavity construction based on theoretical Chebyshev designs.
