Duplexer Passes 746 to 756 MHz and 777 to 787 MHz
The Model AM782-751D319 from Anatech Electronics is a compact ceramic duplexer with passbands of 746 to 756 MHz and 777 to 787 MHz. The RoHS-compliant, 50-Ω filter measures just 34 × 18 × 5 mm, but handles as much as 2 W power per passband. It exhibits worst-case insertion loss of 1.2 dB per passband, and promises at least 50-dB isolation between passbands. The duplexer achieves at least 14-dB return loss in both passbands. It is designed for operating temperatures from −20 to +70°C.
Failsafe Switch Runs 100 to 3,800 MHz
Designed for use from 100 MHz to 3.8 GHz, model GRF6011 from Guerrilla RF is a failsafe single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) switch well-suited for L-band satellite communications (satcom) applications. It is supplied in a miniature six-lead DFN-6 package measuring just 1.5 × 1.5 mm. It operates on a supply voltage of +3 to +5 V dc and a single control voltage of +3 V dc, drawing about 300 mA supply current. In switch mode, the component exhibits 0.33-dB insertion loss with 25-dB isolation. The 1-dB compression point is +20.5 dBm and the input third-order intercept point (IIP3) is +51 dBm. In failsafe mode, the insertion loss is 0.4 dB and the isolation is 22 dB. The 1-dB compression point is +29 dBm and the IIP3 is +49.5 dBm. The switch handles maximum input power to +36 dBm at operating temperatures from −40 to +105°C.
Three-Channel Pad Attenuates 400 to 3,000 MHz
Model CMIAT400M3GA153CH from Corry Micronics is a broadband attenuator with three separate channel configurations for applications from 400 to 3,000 MHz. With 15- to 19-dB attenuation from 400 to 700 MHz, and 14- to 16-dB attenuation from 700 to 3,000 MHz, it is ideal for wireless infrastructure and Fourth-Generation (4G) cellular communications applications. It exhibits ±0.05-dB attenuation flatness across any 20-MHz portion of the bandwidth and boasts low passive-intermodulation (PIM) performance of −160 dBc. The three-channel attenuator handles 100 W average power per channel, with a peak power rating of 3 kW per channel, and provides more than 80-dB isolation between channels.
Miniature Coupler Handles 100 W from 2 to 6 GHz
Mini-Circuits' Model MBDC-13-63HP is a high-power bidirectional coupler with at least 15-dB directivity from 2 to 6 GHz. It provides 13-dB coupling with low mainline insertion loss of 0.25 dB and power-handling capability to 100 W, all in a package size of only 0.56 × 0.20 × 0.051 in. The miniature coupler passes dc current and achieves excellent input and output return loss of typically 23 dB. The coupling flatness is typically ±1.3 dB across the frequency range. The bidirectional coupler is suitable for wireless communications and satellite-communications (satcom) applications, and features an operating-temperature range of −55 to +105°C.
Modular L/S-Band Amp Delivers 100 W Power
The latest addition to the NuPower line of compact power amplifiers from NuWaves Engineering is model 12K08A, designed to provide 100 W output power at L- and S-band frequencies from 1,700 to 2,500 MHz. Based on gallium-nitride (GaN) solid-state device technology, the amplifier achieves its rated output power with just 0-dBm input power, by merit of generous 50-dB gain. Supplied in an aluminum chassis, the amplifier is small enough at 7.25 ×4.00 × 0.80 in. to fit a wide range of air- and ground-based tactical or test applications.
Low-Phase-Noise VCXO Generates 1.0 to 2.2 GHz
Rakon's Model RVG1490L is a voltage-controlled crystal oscillator (VCXO) with low phase noise (low jitter), available with frequencies from 1.0 to 2.2 GHz for optical coherent networking and other critical applications. The RoHS-compliant oscillator comes in a surface-mount package measuring just 14 × 9 mm and with single sinewave, differential sinewave, and LVPECL outputs. It exhibits phase noise of typically −101 dBc/Hz offset 1 kHz from a 1.96-GHz sinewave carrier and −145 dBc/Hz offset 100 kHz from the same carrier. Typical jitter is as low as 15 fs integrated from 10 kHz to 20 MHz from the carrier. The VCXO, which provides +4 dBm typical output power for a single sinewave output signal, has an operating temperature range of −40 to +85°C.
