Encouraged by the success of its recent, eight PlugFest in Austin, TX (January 30-February 1, 2007), the LXI Consortium announced that the next LXI PlugFest is scheduled for June 19-21, 2007 in Beijing, China, the first such event to be held in Asia. Member company Agilent Technologies will serve as host of that event. During the Austin PlugFest, LXI Consortium members represented hardware manufacturers, software vendors, system integrators, and United States military agencies. A capacity crowd attended a half-day tutorial session on the features, capabilities, and benefits of this practical LAN-based remote instrument control and networking format. The presentations used in the tutorial sessions can be downloaded from http://www.lxistandard.org/papers/presentationOverview/.
