New Slide Rule App Works Waveguide on Mobile Devices

July 23, 2013
A new waveguide slide rule app for mobile devices helps engineers to determine operating parameters and material specifications by entering rectangular waveguide (WR) dimensions.

A free rectangular waveguide calculator slide rule application has been released for use on mobile devices by Microwave Development Labs as an added feature to the company’s newly redesigned website. The app, available for both iOS and Android devices, allows design engineers to input their own rectangular waveguide (WR) parameters to make transmission-line conversions and determine operating parameters. By entering WR dimensions, users can generate material waveguide specifications including recommended operating frequency range (GHz), flange type, and waveguide dimensions (in.).

The app can be downloaded at http://www.mdllab.com/tools.php and further assistance with calculations or components can be found by contacting an MDL representative.
