Spectrum Analyzer Scans 9 kHz to 7 GHz

Jan. 31, 2013
A low-cost spectrum analyzer offers basic performance and a host of automated measurements from 9 kHz to 7 GHz.

For those in need of a basic, “no-frills” spectrum analyzer, Agilent Technologies has announced their model N9322C with frequency range from 9 kHz to 7 GHz. In addition to providing simple operation with one-button measurements for occupied bandwidth (OBW) and adjacent-channel power ratio (ACPR), the instrument boasts excellent performance, with typical displayed average noise level (DANL) of -152 dBm and annual aging rate of only ±0.1 ppm for sustained accuracy over time. The spectrum analyzer, which has a third-order-intercept (TOI) point of +10 dBm, offers ±0.3 dB absolute amplitude accuracy. It has a 6.5-in. thin-film-transisor (TFT) color display screen and ±0.1 ppm annual aging rate for reduced frequency drift and more accurate measurements over time. The pricing for the analyzer starts at $11,413 (USD). A low-cost optional tracking generator, model N9322C, is also available for the analyzer, priced starting at $2484.
