Portable Tester Scans To 1 GHz

Oct. 8, 2012
The 3550 digital radio test system enables radio testing from 2 MHz to 1 GHz and is ideal for field testing of analog and digital systems.

The 3550 digital radio test system enables radio testing from 2 MHz to 1 GHz and is ideal for field testing of analog and digital systems. It weighs only 8.3 lbs with rechargeable battery and will run for about 4.5 hours on a battery charge. It features a color touchscreen and allows operators to test all parts of a radio system, including the transmitter, receiver, cables, and antennas. The 3550 includes a spectrum analyzer and built-in signal generator with range from 2 MHz to 1 GHz; it meets MIL-PRF-28800A specifications for humidity, shock, and vibration with an operating range of -0 to +50°C. As with many portable instruments, it offers laboratory-grade performance, with phase noise of -95 dBc/Hz and spectrum analyzer noise floor of -140 dBm.
