BroadWave Technologies’s Model 651-038-020, a 20-dB single-step programmable attenuator, is designed for use in scientific instruments.

Under the Hood

The voltage-controlled device covers a frequency range from DC to 2.5 GHz. Attenuation range is 0 to 20 dB in a 20-dB step with ±0.6-dB attenuation accuracy. Insertion loss is 0.6 dB maximum while VSWR is 1.40:1 maximum. Input power is 1 W average with supply voltage of +15 V dc @ 30 mA nominal. The RF connectors are SMA female, and the control solder terminal features a feed-thru capacitor to prevent leakage. Other attenuation values and RF connector types are available.
