Model XTS-40KHE-B1 is a Ku-band block upconverter (BUC) that includes temperature compensation, gain control, harmonic filtering, receive-band filtering, and an output isolator in a compact unit weighing less than 10 lbs; it measures just 11.2 x 4.4 x 54. in.

Model XTS-40KHE-B1 is a Ku-band block upconverter (BUC) that includes temperature compensation, gain control, harmonic filtering, receive-band filtering, and an output isolator in a compact unit weighing less than 10 lbs; it measures just 11.2 x 4.4 x 54. in. Suitable for commercial and military Ku-band satellite-communications applications, it provides 20 W linear output power and 40 W of output power at 1-dB compression. The feed-mountable amplifier features forced-air cooling and consumes only 210 W power. It features an L-band input port handles signals from 950 to 1700 MHz at maximum level of +10 dBm and a Ku-band output port that supplies +46 dBm output power at 1-dB compression and +47 dBm saturated output power from 13.75 to 14.50 GHz. The BUC achieves 50-dB small-signal gain from 13.75 to 14.50 GHz with gain variation of ±1.5 dB over the full operating band. It exhibits phase noise of -73 dBc/Hz offset 1 kHz from the carrier and -93 dBc/Hz offset 100 kHz from the carrier. The BUC includes Ethernet and RS-232/422/485 interfaces.
