Ulrich Rohde Wins 2014 C.B. Sawyer Award

Synergy Microwave's founder will be be honored at the upcoming IEEE International Frequency Control Symposium.

Professor Dr.-Ing. habil Ulrich Rohde, who has been involved in a large number of different frequency-source designs over the course of his career, is being recognized for his accomplishments this year by the IEEE’s  Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control Society. The group’s standing committee announced that Rohde was selected to be the recipient of the 2014 International Frequency Control Symposium (IFCS) C.B. Sawyer Award.

He is being cited for his involvement with personal-computer (PC) design and simulation software, with the founding of Synergy Microwave Corp. (Paterson, NJ), and with the design and manufacture of state-of-the-art high-frequency component and system solutions. The award will be presented on May 20 at the 2014 IEEE International Frequency Control Symposium, which is being held at the Taipei International Convention Center in Taipei, Taiwan.
