With the launch of www.RAMpedia.com, memory module maker Virtium Technology is offering a technical website that addresses the needs of hardware designers for memory. It provides data and design guidelines for DRAM-based topics, including issues related to limited space, designing to overcome thermal limitations, and how to achieve extended functionality. According to Phan Hoang, Director of R & D at Virtium Technology, "RAMpedia.com was on out of a deep understanding of our customers' needs. We interviewed all of them, from both design engineering and procurement perspectives, and came to understand that access to detailed and timely technical information is consistently one of their greatest daily challenges." The free resource supports design engineers with in-depth technical data as well as a member forum section to exchange ideas and ask questions of colleagues.
