Divider Goes Four Ways to 40 GHz

Dec. 19, 2014
A broadband four-way power divider operates from 3 to 40 GHz with coaxial connectors.

A four-way power divider provides the broadband frequency range suitable for test and communications applications, operating from 3 to 40 GHz with low loss. Model 7030400 exhibits less than 3-dB insertion loss from 3 to 32 GHz and less than 3.6-dB insertion loss from 32 to 40 GHz. The isolation is better than 13 dB across the frequency range with ±0.5-dB amplitude tracking. The maximum input VSWR is 1.90:1 from 3 to 32 GHz and 2.50:1 from 32 to 40 GHz. The maximum output VSWR is 1.70:1 from 3 to 32 GHz and 2.0:1 from 32 to 40 GHz. The phase tracking is ±11 deg. from 3 to 32 GHz and ±15 deg. from 32 to 40 GHz. The four-way power divider measures 2.64 × 2.30 × 0.40 in. with 2.4-mm female connectors, although a version is also available with 2.92-mm female K connectors.
