Coupler Directs 12.4 to 18.0 GHz

Nov. 24, 2014
A coaxial directional coupler with 6-dB nominal coupling serves a wide range of uses from 12.4 to 18.0 GHz.

Suitable for a wide range of system and test applications, model 181206 is a coaxial directional coupler with 6-dB nominal coupling from 12.4 to 18.0 GHz. The coupling flatness is ±0.5 dB across the frequency range with frequency sensitivity of ±0.30 dB. Directivity is better than 15 dB while insertion loss is less than 1.9 dB across the full frequency range. The coupler, which handles 20 W average input power and 3 kW peak power, can be used in such applications as electronic-warfare (EW) equipment, satellite-communications (satcom) systems, radar, and test equipment. It has an operating temperature range of -54 to +85°C and is supplied in a compact housing measuring just 1.40 × 0.40 × 0.66 in. with SMA female connectors. Other connector types are also available.
