Phonon Earns Order for Pulse Compression Modules

Phonon has received a $7.2-million order for radar pulse compression modules from a major defense contractor.

Phonon Corp., a leading supplier of components based on surface-acoustic-wave (SAW) technology, has received a $7.2-million order from a major defense contractor for SAW radar pulse compression modules for an air defense system. The modules are scheduled for delivery in 2017 and 2018.

The company supplies a range of standard and custom components and multifunction assemblies based on SAW technology, including bandpass filters, correlators, delay lines, oscillators, and modules that combine two or more of these components in a compact housing.
