  • LTE business model and timeline
  • 3GPP standards
  • Regulatory issues
  • Green issues
  • The relevance of IMS to LTE
  • LTE and WiMAX competition and co-existence
  • Realising a profitable LTE network
  • Network planning and optimisation
  • UMTS/HSPA+/LTE and EV-DO/eHRPD/LTE evolution paths
  • Designing infrastructure to minimise CAPEX and OPEX
  • Cost efficiency of handsets and terminals
  • The role of femtocells and picocells
  • Data offload using Wi-Fi and femtocells
  • Time to market
  • Interoperability
  • Enabling technology
  • Software defined radio
  • Multi-mode and multi-standard systems
  • Baseband and RF chipsets for terminals and basestations
