General Dynamics to Enhance Naval Cybersecurity

The U.S. Naval Sea Systems Command has signed General Dynamics Information Technology for IT and cybersecurity services as part of a five-year, $81-million contract.

General Dynamics Information Technology, a business unit of General Dynamics, was awarded a contract by the U.S. Naval Sea Systems Command to provide enterprise information technology (IT) and cybersecurity services to the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC)  in Crane, Ind. The single-award, task-order contract is worth as much as $81.3 million over five years.

Along with Indiana’s Purdue University and 10 other Indiana-based companies, General Dynamics will provide the NSWC Crane Division with enterprise IT management, cybersecurity, systems engineering, data protection, cross domain security and information exchange, and technical services.

“General Dynamics delivers operational excellence in the information domain across the globe to the U.S. Department of Defense,” said Bernie Guerry, senior vice president of the Intelligence Solutions division and chief operating officer of General Dynamics Information Technology. “Our highly experienced team is focused on adding value, relevance, and enhanced security to the important work of NSWC Crane.”
