The model ZRO1860A1LF voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) from Z-Communications is designed for low-noise applications requiring stable signals at 1860 MHz. It has a tuning range of 0.5 to 4.5 V with typical tuning sensitivity of 5 MHz/V. The VCO delivers typical phase noise of -118 dBc/Hz offset 10 kHz from the carrier with typical second-harmonic suppression of -25 dBc. It delivers +3 dBm output power when operating from a +5-VDC supply while drawing 25 mA typical current. The VCO is supplied in the firm's standard MINI-16-SM package measuring 0.5 x 0.5 x 0.22 in. and is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements. The oscillator is suitable for fixed-wireless and satellite-communications (satcom) applications.
