Model HMC795LP5E is a direct in-phase/quadrature (I/Q) modulator from Hittite Microwave Corp. with digitally controlled analog variable gain amplifier (VGA). The radio-frequency integrated circuit (RFIC) covers 20 to 2800 MHz with +11 dBm output power at 1-dB compression and third-order intercept point of +22 dBm. It includes 32-dB linear gain control in 0.5-dB steps. The modulator operates with LO input levels from -9 to +3 dBm and features a differential RF output port. Ideal for automotive, cellular, WiMAX, military, and test applications, the modulator has better than -50 dBc single sideband rejection over its full 31.5-dB dynamic range.
