Model ADL5505 is a TruPwr RF power detector from Analog Devices for use in third-generation (3G) and fourth-generation (4G) mobile wireless communications terminals. The detector is designed to read the root-mean-square (RMS) power levels of simple and complex waveforms, and can measure the peak-to-average power (crest factor) of such signals as W-CDMA, CDMA2000, WiMAX, WLAN, and LTE waveforms. It operates from 450 to 6000 MHz with a 30-dB dynamic range that is stable with temperature. It provides a linear DC output with 1.86 V/V conversion gain at 900 MHz. It requires only a single supply between 2.5 V and 3.3 V and draws less than 1.8 mA current. The power detector is supplied in a WLCSP package measuring 0.8 x 0.8 mm.
