QUALCOMM, INC.Elected DR. FRANCISCO ROS to its board of directors. Ros brings more than 25 years of telecommunications experience to the position. He recently served as Secretary of State (Vice Minister) of the Government of Spain.

VERIZON COMMUNICATIONS, INC.Named ANTHONY MELONE Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer with responsibility for Verizon's technology roadmap and product innovation. Melone was previously Senior Vice President and Chief Technical Officer for Verizon Wireless. He succeeds Shaygan Kheradpir, who retired after a 23-year career with Verizon and its predecessor companies.

PEREGRINE SEMICONDUCTOR CORP.CARL SCHLACHTE and ANTHONY (TONY) THORNLEY have been appointed to the board of directors. Schlachte is Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Ventiva Corp. as well as Chairman of MOSAID. Thornley is the former QUALCOMM President and Chief Operating Officer.

RASIRCDAVID NEUSCHULER has joined the company as Engineering Manager. He brings over 30 years of engineering and management experiencemost recently as Director of Technology Development at Teledyne Advanced Pollution Instrumentation.

TAIYOJOHN FIX has been promoted to Manager and Director of Sales and Marketing. Fix joined Taiyo in November of 2000 and was most recently the OEM/ Technical Service Manager.

MODESAT COMMUNICATIONSDR. SAN GUOON CHUNG has been named Vice President, R&D and Chief Technology Officer. He has previously held executivelevel positions at AMD, Nokia Mobile Phones, Sony Wireless Technology, Samsung Electronics, and Broadcom.

M/A-COM TECHNOLOTY SOLUTIONS JAMES (JIM) DEMPSEY has been promoted to the newly created position of Deputy Director of Distribution. He has more than 25 years of experience in the RF/ microwave industry, working in different roles for Skyworks, Alpha Industries, and Herley Micro-Dynamics. In addition, JACK KENNEDY has been appointed Director of Global Distribution. He has a long history with the company in sales management and field sales engineering.

REMTECMARTIN B. NADLER has been appointed Director of Quality Assurance. His 25 years of experience spans companies like Kyocera International, Augat, Olin Aegis, Ceramtec, Irvine Sensors, Film Microelectronics, Ixion Technologies, CTI-Cryogenics, and Netezza Corp.

SKYCROSSBEN NASKAR has been appointed CEO and Chairman. He succeeds outgoing Chairman and acting CEO, Dennis McKenna, who is retiring. Naskar was formerly Corporate Officer, Vice President, and General Manager of the Wireless Networking Business Unit at Atheros Communications.

INDIUM CORP.CHRIS NASH has been promoted to Senior Technical Support Engineer. He was formerly Technical Support Engineer.

HARRIS CORP.BRENDAN O'CONNELL has been promoted to President of the US Department of Defense (DoD) business unit at Harris RF Communications. He succeeds STEPHEN MARSCHILOK, who has been named President of the Public Safety and Professional Communications (PSPC) business unit at Harris RF Communications. In addition, JEFF SHUMAN, Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate Relations, has been named to the Board of Directors of the National Association of Manufacturers.

FREEWAVE TECHNOLOGIESCLIVE WINKLER has been named Chief Technology Officer. He was formerly Vice President, Advanced Development at Cubic Defense Applications.
