Hu Promoted to Conexant Chief Financial Officer
JEAN HU has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President at Conexant. She joined Conexant in 1999 as Director of Strategy and Business Development. Hu was promoted to Vice President of Strategy and Business Development in 2001 with a range of responsibilities and activities that included strategic planning, financial analysis, development of product and market strategies, investments and alliances, divestitures, and mergers and acquisitions. She replaces Karen Roscher, who joined Conexant in September 2007 and will be leaving the company to pursue other opportunities. Hu will continue to report to Scott Mercer. Recently, Hu led the company's efforts to divest its set-top-box business and acquire Freescale Semiconductor's SigmaTel multifunction printer business.
