ST. CHARLES, IL—The overall customer performance rating for Trompeter, a producer of RF interconnect products, increased by four positions in the 2006 Bishop & Associates Connector Industry Survey. Trompeter's ranking rose to tenth overall, and gains in the new business process measures (sample delivery, turn time to new designs) drove the overall rating improvement.

Trompeter's highest overall performance ratings in the survey were for technical expertise, requested delivery dates, and inside sales—while the highest gains were in website, product samples order lead time, and turn time to new designs.

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA—Inphi Corp. announced that it has won the FSA award for "Outstanding Financial Performance by a Private Fabless Company." FSA made the announcement at its 12th annual FSA Awards dinner, which was held last month in Santa Clara, CA.

The Outstanding Financial Performance by a Private Fabless Company award recognizes private companies that doubled either revenue or net income with no negative quarters over the eight consecutive quarters ending June 2006.

SHANGHAI, CHINA—Apexone Microelectronics, a private fabless company that designs mixed-signal ICs for interactive multimedia communications, announced that it has been honored by FSA with the 2006 "Outstanding Financial Performance Award by Private Fabless Companies." This honor, presented to Apexone at the 12th annual FSA Awards dinner in Santa Clara, CA, recognized Apexone's financial performance, its innovations, and long-term success opportunities. This is the first time that a private fabless company from China has received this industry award.

ETTERS, PA—FCI, a manufacturer of connectors and interconnect systems, has won the National Electronic Distributors Association (NEDA) Channel Marketing Gold Achievement Award for its Educating the Market advertising campaign. The campaign consists of three different advertisements that focus on educating readers about FCI's high-speed connector families, a new line of power connectors and accessories, as well as the AirMax VS connector family.

Last year, FCI won the same award for their Next Generation High Speed campaign.
