MITEQ has added a new model to its line of detector log video amplifiers (DLVAs), with its model FBLA-2/6-50 for applications from 2 to 6 GHz. Weighing just 20 g and measuring a mere 1.63 x 1.25 x 1.50 in. without SMA connectors, the microwave DLVA features a dynamic range of 50 dB that can be extended to measure input levels as low as -70 dBm when used with one of the firms broadband low-noise amplifiers (LNAs). The amplifier features log linearity of better than +/-1 dB at room temperature and has a logging slope of 50 mV/dB at the center frequency and at room temperature. The EMI-shielded and hermetically sealed amplifier exhibits DC offset drift of typically +/-50 mV over an operating temperature range of -40 to +85oC and draws 100 mA typical current from a +8-VDC supply and 30 mA current from a -8-VDC supply.
