Alcatel-LucentHas signed a turnkey equipment and services contract with 3 Italia, a 3G mobile operator in Italy and the first DVB-H Mobile TV operator, to expand and optimize its broadcast Mobile TV network throughout Italy. Alcatel-Lucent's solution for 3 Italia, based on its DVB-H terrestrial transmitters, remote monitoring system, and including network integration services, will enable 3 Italia to increase the indoor and outdoor coverage of its broadcast Mobile TV network. At the same time, it will optimize network efficiency for enhanced Mobile TV service delivery. Alcatel-Lucent will extend and increase the density of 3 Italia's DVB-H terrestrial transmitters network across Italy, enabling 3 Italia to offer broadcast Mobile TV services to its 8.45 million UMTS customers. The integration of Alcatel-Lucent's Mobile TV terrestrial transmitters into 3 Italia's existing mobile sites as well as new sites and a remote monitoring system enables 3 Italia to protect its previous investments.

Redline Communications Group, Inc.Has announced that IDNet has deployed Redline's RedMAX family of WiMAX Forum Certified products to provide enterprise and residential customers with advanced Internet and data services. The project represents the first live, private WiMAX network operating in the 3.3-GHz licensed spectrum in Costa Rica. IDNet chose Redline's RedMAX family of WiMAX Forum Certified products to enhance its enterprise networks and provide value-added advanced data, Internet, and application services to existing and new customers located in areas that were previously difficult to service. RedMAX base stations have been deployed in the urban areas of San Jose, Heredia, Alajuela, Cartago, and the rural areas of Liberia, Santa Cruz, Puntarenas, San Ramon, Ciudad Quesada, Guapiles, Limon, and Perez Zeledon.

Saab TransponderTechHas been selected to supply coastal Automatic Identification System (AIS) base stations as part of a coastal maritime traffic network for Germany's Federal Water and Shipping Administration. The contract was awarded by ESG Elektroniksystem-und Logistik GmbH, the prime contractor for the AIS Deutsche Kste program. Saab will supply 100 R40 AIS base stations, which will be modified according to specific requirements for this project. All products will be delivered by the end of 2008. ESG will develop and integrate all the software for the system from its facility in Wilhelmshaven.

DragonWave, Inc.Altitude Infrastructure, a subsidiary of Altitude Group, has selected DragonWave products to provide high-capacity Ethernet backhaul as part of its rollout of WiMAX broadband services across France. Altitude has pioneered WiMAX service introduction in France. Its first deployments took place in 2004. To date, DragonWave's Ethernet backhaul solution has been selected for four regional deployments in the Dpartement de la Haute Garonne, Dpartement des Deux Svres, Dpartement du Jura, and Dpartement des Pyrnes Atlantiques. Altitude Infrastructure is deploying DragonWave's AirPair products operating in licensed frequencies between 6 and 38 GHz.

RF Micro DevicesHas announced the opening of a customer support center in Bangalore, India. The new customer support center in Bangalore highlights RFMD's presence in Asia and underscores the company's commitment to one of the world's fastest-growing markets for RF semiconductor components. RFMD's Bangalore customer support center houses applications engineering, customer service, sales management, and technical sales. The Bangalore center significantly expands RFMD's ability to support regional manufacturers in Greater India.

The Allied Defense Group, Inc.Has entered into a definitive agreement to sell substantially all of the assets of its California subsidiary, Global Microwave Systems, Inc., to a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cobham plcan international company engaged in the development, delivery, and support of advanced aerospace and defense systems for land, sea, and air platforms. The purchase price is $26 million, subject to a final working capital adjustment. The closing of the transaction is subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions including obtaining various consents and regulatory approvals.

Ceralink, Inc.Has announced the launch of a redesigned and expanded web site at www.ceralink.com. The web site delivers in-depth information on Ceralink's increased testing capabilities and services. It also announces the rollout of its microwave and RF equipment product lines, which includes the unveiling of Ceralink's new MAT kiln products (available exclusively through Ceralink or Ceralink's MAT partners).

Lime MicrosystemsHas joined the Femto Forum, the independent industry and operator association that supports femtocell deployment worldwide. The forum promotes the adoption of femtocell technologies through open standards, market education and ecosystem development. Lime Microsystems' reconfigurable multiband, multistandard transceiver promises to allow a femtocell to be reconfigured quickly and simply, thereby cutting cost and inventory for OEMs.

LBA TechnologyHas expanded to add a new Test Equipment Group. This group will take responsibility for existing test products manufactured or sold by LBA. The firm also is in the process of activating major third-party testequipment distribution agreements under the group. The new group will include state-of-the-art antenna testers, digital TV signal analyzers, personal RF safety monitors, EMF shielded laboratory enclosures, and related components. Product lines will include TOMCO, Jennings, and COMET. The group will focus on exclusive distribution of top line international manufacturers in the North and South American markets.
