R&D Microwaves has developed a series of unequal power dividers with models well suited for measurement and signal sampling applications from 380 to 2700 MHz. The power tappers feature a novel, patented airline structure with fixed, unequal split ratio that remains constant over the frequency range. As an example, model UN-06N provides a split ratio of 1:3 for the two output ports with 6-dB coupling at the coupled port. The coupling flatess is within 1 dB. The insertion loss from the input port to the through output power is only 1.3 dB. The unequal divider, which is supplied with Type N female connectors, handles 300 W average power and 3 kW peak power. The passive intermodulation distortion is an ipressive -150 dBc. The product family also includes models with 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, 15, 20, and 30 dB coupled ports with Type N connectors. In addition, a series of unequal divides with 7/16 EIA type connectors is also available with coupling values of 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 13, 15, 20, and 30 dB and similar performance to the Type N components.
