Sangshin Elecom has developed a line of monoblock filters well suited for 3- and 5-GHz WiMAX applications. The filters, which are available with a wide range of center frequencies and passbands from 2.3 to 6.0 GHz, provide improved electrical performance compared to low-temperature-cofired-ceramic (LTCC) components with better reliability than coupled-resonator designs. An example is model MBP33R3550S100A, which provides a 100-MHz bandwidth centered at 3550 MHz. The filters are available from Sangshin's exclusive distributor in the United States, RFMW Ltd. at: http://www.rfmw.com/
