Microphase Corporation has developed a line of miniature directional couplers for applications thorugh 3 GHz. The compact couplers are ideal for monitoring the power levels of incident or reflected signals. As an example, a broadband model operates from 10 MHz to 3 GHz with 14.2 dB coupling and coupling flatness that is within +/- 0.75 dB. The insertion loss is 1 dB or less through 1 GHz and 2 dB or less through 3 GHz. The return loss is 18 dB or greater through 1 GHz and 14 dB or greater through 3 GHz. Directivity is at least 14 dB through 1 GHz and at least 11 dB through 3 GHz. The directional coupler handles 3 W power and measures just 0.65 x 0.5 x 0.38 inches. For more information on this and other directional couplers in the line, visit the Microphase website at: http://www.microphase.com/
