MMIC Switches And Amps Hit 40 GHz

June 2, 2014
New lines of switches and amplifiers mark a company’s entry into the MMIC market.

Microsemi Corp. (IMS Booth No. 321) comes to the 2014 IMS after announcing a new line of monolithic-microwave-integrated-circuit (MMIC) products, including low-noise amplifiers (LNAs) and switches. The new devices span DC to 40 GHz. The company works in both gallium arsenide (GaAs) and gallium nitride (GaN) semiconductor technologies for commercial and military applications. Examples include the model MMS002AA single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) switch with 45-dB isolation from DC to 20 GHz and the model MMA001AA wideband amplifier with better than 17-dB gain from DC to 20 GHz.
