Free SPICE Software Tackles Linear Circuits

Analog Devices and National Instruments have announced the availability of an "Analog Devices" version of National's Multisim SPICE-based software for evaluating components by means of analyzing linear circuits. The software works with 550 models matched to over 1000 components from Analog Devices for simulation of linear circuits. Users can also import their own models into the free component evaluation tool to experiment with different designs.

"With this custom version of the NI Multisim simulation environment, engineers can take a graphical approach to evaluating many of ADI's industry-leading linear analog components. The result is the flexibility and creative freedom to quickly improve design decisions," says Bhavesh Mistry, General Manager, National Instruments Electronics Workbench Group. "Engineers working to tight schedules and budgets can avoid costly and time-consuming re-design work due to component choice by enhancing productivity with this SPICE simulator." The software can be downloaded free of charge by clicking here.
