Amplifier Keeps Gain Flat from 0.1 To 18.0 GHz

An extremely broadband amplifier provides +26 dBm output power through 18 GHz with low noise figure and flat gain.

For those in need of extremely broadband amplification, few components can compete with the model ZVA-183W+ from Mini-Circuits. With +26-dBm output power and 27-dB flat gain from 100 MHz to 18 GHz, this wideband amplifier is well suited for radar and electronic-warfare (EW) military applications as well as commercial communications and instrumentation applications. The four-stage, Class A amplifier is extremely linear and unconditionally stable. It achieves a typical third-order intercept point (IP3) of +36 dBm through 6 GHz, with surprisingly low noise figure of only 3 dB from 500 MHz to 18 GHz. With input/output VSWR of no worse than 1.60:1, the amplifier runs on supply current of typically 625 mA at +15 VDC. Ask for it at IMS Booth No. 823.
