Of R&S President, CEO Agilent Technologies, Inc.—DAVID E. ROOT, an Agilent Electronic Measurement Group Scientist, has been promoted to the position of Agilent Research Fellow. Root was a driving force behind the development of X-parameters and nonlinear VNA technology. Raytheon Co.—MARK T. ESPER has been named Vice President of Government Relations. Prior to Raytheon, Esper was the Executive Vice President of the Global Intellectual Property Center and Vice President of the US Chamber of Commerce. Eutelsat Communications—DAVID BAIR has been named Chief Technical Officer. He joins Eutelsat from EchoStar Satellite Services, where he was Senior Vice President of Space Programmes. Boeing—EDWARD M. LIDDY has been elected to the Boeing Board of Directors. He rejoins the Boeing board, where he served from August 2007 to October 2008. Liddy left the board when the Secretary of the US Department of the Treasury asked him to serve as Interim Chairman and CEO of American International Group in conjunction with the US government’s actions to provide stability to the firm. Channel Microwave—HAROLD AIKINS has joined this Smiths company as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Prior to joining Channel, he worked as a Manufacturing Representative with Thorson Desert States, Inc. and Regional Sales Manager with K&L Microwave. Aikins is a former US Army Reserve Signal Corps officer. dB Control—JOE HAJDUK, CEO, has won the Association of Old Crows (AOC) Award for Business Management. He will be presented with the award at the 47th Annual AOC International Symposium and Convention. In addition, CRAIG SHOTWELL has joined the engineering staff after nearly 30 years at Teledyne MEC and RAFAEL CISNEROS has been promoted to Director of Production Engineering Test/Support. AMS Technologies—JAN MEISE is Chief Sales Officer. He was previously Director of Strategic Marketing and EMEA and APAC Sales Director at Finisar Corp. In other news, PHILIPP WEBER has been named Chief Operating Officer. He joined AMS Technologies in March 2001 and has headed operations for several years. JUDITH DE FORREST WILSON, former CEO, resigned from the operative management and joined the board of directors.
