The MX series from EM Research is a X2 active frequency multiplier with integrated output filter that produces low subharmonics (< -60 dBc, typ). User-selected frequency outputs are available from 10 to 30 GHz in up to 20 percent bandwidths. The MX series features 7 to 10 dB nominal conversion gain, 0 to +7 dBm input level, and output power of +7 to +10 dBm. The units have >20 dB output-input isolation, low harmonics (< -30 dBc, typ), and low spurs (< -80 dBc, typ). The supply voltage is +5 VDC (+12 VDC optional). Operating over a temperature range of -30°C to +70°C, the multipliers come in a 0.96-in. x 0.80-in. x 0.43-in. package with removable SMA connectors. Target applications include radio transceivers and satellite communications systems.
