Jack Browne  |  ED Online ID #18288 |  February 21, 2008

Lansdale Semiconductor has announced the availability of the model ML145170 single-chip CMOS frequency synthesizer for wireless applications. Originally produced by Freescale Semiconductor has the model MC145170, the synthesizer is suitable for applications at HF and VHF bands. It features a flexible programming architecture, low supply current (making it ideal for portable two-way radios), and a patented jam load feature that prevents erroneous data from being loaded into counters and improves lock times. The device can be supplied in a variety of different package styles, including 16-pin plastic PDIP, SO, and TSSOP with RoHS compliant versions also available.

Tempe, AZ-based Lansdale manufactures over 3000 integrated circuits (ICs) in the original package types for aerospace, commercial, industrial, and military applications, as originally produced by such manufacturers as Fairchild, Freescale, Harris, Intel, National Semiconductor, Philips, and Raytheon. The firm is certified and approved by the United States Department of Defense Supply Center, Columbus (DSCC) and is a Qualified Manufacturer (QM) under the MIL-PRF-38535 Qualified Manufacturing List (QML).
