Novatech Instruments has announced their model 2960X disciplined quartz frequency standard as a cost-effect means of generating precise frequency reference signals for test and measurement systems. The frequency standard contains an oven-controlled crystal oscillator (OCXO) which offers stability of better than +/-5 x 10-11/day when disciplined to a 1-pps source. It uses an auto-adaptive disciplining algorithm that requires no intervention or tuning and tracks the 1 pps from a Global Positioning System (GPS) smart antenna. The 2960X features two 10-MHz outputs and one 5-MHz output on the front panel with two BNC connectors on the rear panel with 1-pps timing signals. For more information on the model 2960X frequency standard, visit Novatech at: http://www.novatech-instr.com
