B&Z Technologies of Stony Brook, NY has announced a new series of low-noise amplifiers (LNAs) designed expressly for military applications from 17.8 to 21.2 GHz. The new BZ3-17802120 series of LNAs can be ordered with noise figures as low as 1.5 dB and as much as 45 dB gain, with gain flatness within a 1-dB window. The amplifiers provide +15 dBm output power at 1-dB compression with phase linearity controlled within a 4-deg. window. The drop-in amplifiers, which measure just 0.44 x 0.74 x 0.30 in., are supplied with removable coaxial connectors for ease of testing.
