AT4 wireless Is Wi-Fi CERTIFIED

AT4 wireless, an Authorized Test Laboratory (ATL) of the Wi-Fi Alliance(r), has become the only laboratory in Europe to be qualified for testing the new certification program Wi-Fi CERTIFIED(tm) IEEE 802.11n draft 2.0 program. This qualification process allows a reduced group of laboratories selected by the Wi-Fi Alliance to offer certification services for Wi-Fi CERTIFIED(tm) IEEE 802.11n draft 2.0 starting from June 25th. According to Fernando Hardasmal, Deputy General Manager at AT4 wireless, "This new certification program complements AT4 wireless' services portfolio for wireless devices vendors. AT4 wireless´ offer includes not only all Wi-Fi Alliance interoperability services, Bluetooth(r) certification and WiMAX Forum(r) but also Regulatory testing and International Type Approval (ITA) services." Frank Hanzlik, Wi-Fi Alliance Managing Director, added "We are pleased to have AT4 wireless among the first labs to become qualified to conduct product testing for the Wi-Fi CERTIFIED 802.11n draft 2.0 test program. AT4 wireless' demonstrated commitment to on-time readiness has helped us achieve this important industry milestone on time, with enough testing capacity to support all of our member companies worldwide." Wi-Fi CERTIFIED(tm) 802.11n draft 2.0 technology promises transfer speeds between 4 and 8 times higher than current 802.11 a/b/g devices, while maintaining compatibility with IEEE 802.11 a/b/g devices.
