MMD Components Offers Low-Power OCXOs

Jack Browne  |  ED Online ID #15977 |  June 26, 2007

MMD Components (Monitor & Quartztek) has developed a line of low-power oven-controlled crystal oscillators (OCXOs) with options for an AT, SC or IT cut crystal design. The company’s new MOFLP series OCXOs are ideal for a wide variety of battery-powered and portable wireless applications. They are designed for fast warmup times and low power consumption, with typical current consumption of 120 mA during startup and less than 70 mA current consumption during steady-state operation at room temperature when operating from a +3.3-VDC supply. The OCXOs, which are also available for +5-VDC supplies, can be specified for frequencies from 1 to 125 MHz. Units are offered in an industry-standard 14-pin DIP (dual inline package), a gull-wing surface-mount version, or an SMD configuration.
